An exciting opportunity for kids who are looking to play more baseball, if your son or daughter loves the game of baseball and is looking for the opportunity to play and practice more, then we hope that you will consider trying out for the 2016 Waltham Jr. Hawks AAU Program. Last year there were two 10-year old teams, an 11-year old team, and a 13-year old team. The team practices in the winter (one time per week in January, then twice per week in February, and an additional pitching/catching clinic in March which is optional) and then games start in early April (a doubleheader every Saturday morning against other AAU teams). The schedule is set up to avoid any conflicts with the little league schedule. My two boys played in this program last year and had a great experience. Many current and former Warrendale Little League players have particapted in this program in the past and we hope it continues in the future. Ed Sweet is the director of the Jr. Hawks and can be reached at
if you have any questions. The tryouts will take place on October 3rd and 4th (you only have to make one of the tryouts). Here are the details:

Congratulations to the Warrendale Little League Nationals for winning the Waltham City Tournament. (Minor League Division) The final game of the tournament was a tough 9 inning game against a great Warrendale Little League Cardinal team. The final score 3-2.
The Nationals and Dodgers went the distance in the Minor League World Series but the Nationals took the title in game 3 last night. Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents for a great Minor league Season. Also, the Nationals face the Cardinals in the City Tournament Championship tonight at 5:30.
Congratulations to the Major League Athletics and to all the players and coaches of the Warrendale Little League, Major League, for a great spring season. The A's wrapped the season last night with a World World Series Championship against a talented Red Sox team. This World Series Trophy is in addition to the City Tournament Championship they secured just a couple weeks ago. Well done.
Warrendale Little League would like to thank Luke Tripp, owner of Lookout Security Systems Inc. for installing several security cameras at the Shack this past week. You may have noticed them! Luke is a WLL dad and has been a league sponsor for many years. These cameras have been needed for some time and would not have been possible without Luke donating his time, expertise and resources.
Along with helmets we are now selling Warrendale Baseball long sleeve shirts and PJs in our online store. Sizes are limited right now but if there is interest please let us know and we can order more. Anything bought online can be picked up at The Shack. You can also
