Everyone must play minimum 3 innings in the field.
No reentry on pitchers.
Pitching in a nutshell:
Each pitcher has 9 innings of pitching eligibility for the playoffs, not including World Series. There is no day of rest rule, you can pitch in back to back days. We still limit a pitcher to 3 innings per game. The playoffs begin on Tuesday 6/12 and it will be considered a new week.
World Series resets the clock, and each pitcher has 6 innings of eligibility for the Series. Again there is no day of rest rule, you can pitch back to back days
Some additional reminders
As a reminder, the expectations around discussing plays with the umpire during a game have not changed with the start of the playoffs. If you have a question about a call please discuss with the umpire at the end of the inning. The only one discussing the call with the umpire should be the Head Coach. Assistant Coaches and more importantly parents should not be discussing or disputing calls with the umpire.
It is critical that all uniforms are collected and turned in at the end of the year. It is the head coaches responsibility to make sure this happens. I can't stress enough how important it is to turn in uniforms in order to avoid us from having to run around next season to collect. Your assistance is much appreciated. We will set a specific date and time for coaches to drop off uniforms, equipment bags, and keys. More info to come.
Since we do not have permits to officially reserve any local fields, other than Warrendale, the Lowell and Elsie Fields have been closed for scheduling.
You can still schedule practices anywhere you want but please use: Prctice Field TBD
and then note the location, where you want the team to meet, in the NOTES field along with any other information you need. The players and parents will see the location when the reminder is sent and it is also displayed on the schedule.
I have also added the two batting cages, that are next to the shack, as fields.
You can reserve them and hold practice there by scheuling a practice through the website and specifying what cage you want to use and when.
I was also told to remind you that Warrendale Little League has a pitching machine that can be used for practices. Talk to the League Reps for more information.
I just noticed the 'Standings' were not turned on so I just turned them on for just the minor and major leagues. Now under your 'results' menu item you will see a 'standings' menu. Any un-reported game results show as a TIE. If there any games that are rained out or canceled please edit the game result and check the box marked Cancelled.
Major and Minor League Coaches
I just noticed...

now that the season is underway you can now post your game results.
The winning coach should log in to website
go to their team page
click on game results on left side menu
you should only see current (today) and past games
edit the game by clicking this symbol next to the game
Patti and Debbie were able to provide me with a list of some of the 'team moms'.
I was able to give them certain access so now they are listed on your team pages, they should be able to email, add/edit events, etc.... and parents will see them listed and can easily contact them for anything.
(example: most of the Major League teams)
If you have a team mom that you want listed, so they can assist with these activities, as well as organize any shack duty, let me know.
David Nuzzi helped me find a potential problem, if you share a family email address and you use it to login. When you are assigned as a coach your member record is given the rights to post messages, add/edit games and practices etc...
When you login with that email and you share it (for example) it may think it's your wife logging in and not you - so you won't know that you are the coach.
There is an easy solution for this. All I need to do is go into your record and assign you a unique password. If you run into any issues like this or not being able to do something on the website please let me know.
