Warrendale Shack 2008

Thank you very much for volunteering for the shack.  We have made some changes this year with the hope that things will run smoothly and there will be enough people working the shack at all times.

The team designated as “home team” is the team responsible to work the shack.  Home team shack duties are on a first come first serve basis.  Once all “home team” games are full for each team, the remaining families whom did not get a “home team” game will be assigned an alternate shack duty when their child is not playing.  This alternate shack duty may take place during a weekend, weekday, play-offs, etc… We will do the best we can to accommodate each family and the needs of our shack.

The person who represents your team that night must be there a half hour before the game starts to get everything prepared.  That person will stay working the shack on week nights until both major and minor league games are finished and the team drinks are given out and the shack is cleaned; on weekends as the shack supervisor coordinates between games.  Please do not leave someone to finish the clean-up alone, this is unfair.

Your Shack Assignment Rules and Guidelines:

1               You need to put in 1 shack assignment per child.  Maximum 3 shack duties per family

2               We will try to call the night before to remind you of your assignment.

3               There will be a sign at the shack that lists who will be working.

4               Per the Board of Health:  Long hair will need to put up in a ponytail.  Please no finger nail polish, no chewing gum, no jewelry of any kind with the exception of a plain wedding band and no medical alert bracelets.

5               Shack workers will wear rubber gloves when cooking and serving slush, pizza, etc…  It is necessary to change gloves when serving different items to avoid cross contamination.

6               Upon your arrival check in with a member of the committee and obtain a receipt to keep for your records.

7               If it rains, you are still responsible for that game when it is rescheduled.  If it starts to rain after the game has started and is rained out you still are responsible for that game when it is rescheduled.

8               If there are any changes to your original assigned shack duty, please email those changes to wllshack@yahoo.com or contact Debbie Albanna at 781.891.9313.

9               If you do not do your shack duty you will be charged $100.00 per duty missed.

**NOTICE**

Children under the age of 13 are NOT permitted inside the shack at any time.

This is a mandated order per the Department of Public Health and Safety.

Please note, sales from the shack are Warrendale Little League’s primary source of fund raising.
